Ein Österreichischer Wald auf dem EXPO-Gelände. Was hat das mit Ernährung zu tun? Eine ganze Menge.

Österreich macht die gute, frische Luft zum Hauptthema seines Pavillons. Der Baum als CO2-spendende Grundlage allen Lebens ist damit nicht nur gelungen, sondern auch eine schöne Alternative zu dem Trubel auf dem EXPO-Gelände. Schon vor dem Pavillon gibt es große “Luftspender”, die einem an einem heißen EXPO-Sommertag eine angenehme Abkühlung verschaffen.

In Mailand, das nicht gerade für gute Luft bekannt ist,  ist das eine echte Wohltat. Hier kann man einmal tief durchatmen und unter den schattigen Bäumen ein wenig relaxen.
Schatten spenden auch die Wände. Und an diesen erhält man weitere Informationen zur Bedeutung von Bäumen, Wald und guter Luftqualität.

Der Österreich-Pavillon ist eine angenehme Ausnahme zwischen vielen bunt leuchtenden und damit effekthaschenden Teilnehmer-Pavillons. Ganz am Anfang wartet auf die Besucher aber doch ein netter Effekt – ganz ohne Effekthascherei. Durchschreitet man die versetzt angeordneten Buchstaben “BREATH” des Österreichischen Mottos “Breath Austria”, wird daraus am Ende “EAT”.

Eine schöne Spielerei und ein geschickter EXPO-Beitrag.
